Root 4 buttons stay lit after serependity rom

Hey guys, I flashed the Serependity rom but now there's just one little issue im having, does anyone else when they get a message the four lights on the bottom stay on? Please let me know.

if they are only lit when you get a notification its called backlight notifications, they can be turned off but alot of people like it since there is no led. if they are always on regardless you may have had a bad flash or something

It's a feature not a bug. It's known as BLN. And it can be disabled (personally I hate it, I feel like it wastes battery). Reboot into recovery, and go to um... Advanced SpeedMod options or something like that. The option disable BLN is in there I think. Then just reboot.

Only problem I have with receiving texts is that it never vibrates when I put phone on vibrate/silent mode.
The four lights would come on but that would be the only way I can tell I got a text which is a poor way to notify me.

The vibrate problem is something everyone goes through with Serendipity. You just have to turn it on for notifications.

Open up your messaging app. Go to settings, notification settings, and set it to vibrate for messages. Then you can change your vibration pattern there as well.

If that doesn't work, try the "Sound Manager" app from the Market.
