did anyone else get a flyer in the mail with the 4G data plans? this might not be news to some of the extreme followers, but i had been told by vzw reps that the data plans would be the same as the 3G (same price and unlimited).

EDIT: nevermind this is for LTE air cards, not LTE phones. i'm trying to figure out how to delete this...

I'm still on ATT at this moment, so it's hard to understand the price difference.
What's the current 3G network price on Verizon?

@Hoonage
29.99 for unlimited in a smartphone. $20 extra for hotspot limited to 2gb a month. Many root or Ouse other tricks to not pay the $20 for hotspot and thus are not limited to 2gb.

and the price difference is because the 3g data plans for aircards is 59.99 and its only 50 for the 4g plans

Why would they charge $50 per month for LTE through a USB dongle (limited usage) and then (supposedly) provide unlimited data for LTE smartphones AND allow it to be a hotspot for multiple devices without any additional charges? Why would anyone bother purchasing the overpriced LTE modems in that case?

It doesn't seem right.

The Hotspot functionality will be a separate feature that you will be charged for (like the tethering charge).

I for one don't see them having a different pricing plan for 4G cell service vs 3G cell service yet having the same price for 3G and 4G USB aircards. From what I was told by a Vzn rep is that the main difference in the 3G and 4G plans is that you can buy "lesser" plans on 3G than you can on 4G, but otherwise for the same data limits, the prices are the same.
