4G on a flashed phone

Is it possible to flash a phone from another carrier, like an EVO over to Metro's network and get the 4G radio to work. Has anyone been able to accomplish this? Is this even technically possible?

No and no. Any Sprint 4G phones use a completely different 4G technology, WiMAX, and any Verizon LTE phones are on incompatible frequencies.

I read that after I posted. That stinks. It would be ok if the 3G worked everywhere but it doesn't, and the 1x is just plain horrible!!

Actually let me add this question. Does this also mean that you cannot flash a Verizon 4G LTE phone with a Metro's network? I see all 3G seems to be created equal for 3G usage. Now can it be that Verizon and Metro both use the same frequency for 4G since they are both LTE?

They do NOT use the same frequency. At all.
they are incompatible. Metro got to the auction to late and didn't get part of the awesome spectrum the others will enjoy.
