I have some pretty poor 4G speeds in my area, and I just started looking for some ways to speed it up. I saw the build.prop tweaks in ldrifta's #2 rom, and applied those to my phone using Rom Toolbox. My speed went up. There was a thread a couple weeks, maybe a month ago with posts of speed screenshots, mine was like 400-450 kbps. The tweaks he had boosted my speed up to 670-760 kbps. Still slow by most/all standards, but still better than before.
I then Googled "build prop tweaks 4g speed" and the first thing I saw was a post on these forums, for the Samsung Galaxy Attain. I figured, that since they're both using Metro's LTE network, the build prop tweaks in that post would work as well, since it seemed to have worked for them.
Well...it didnt. My speed actually suffered, and dropped to the 300-350 range, worse than I was before.
The below screenshot were tests, the bottom 3 were with ldrifta's tweak, the top 3 were with the tweaks for the Attain. A reboot was done after applying each set of tweaks.
I don't know why the first test was so low, maybe it was still booting up when I did the test.
I'm still searching for other tweaks to try, so far these are the only 2 I've found and used, if anybody knows of others, please post them.
EDIT: I used the 2nd set of tweaks together with ldrifta's, when I did the test they were both active.
