Is there any way to boost 4g speeds from inside the phone....I play Xbox live tethering my phone to Xbox but lags horribly lol......and I don't see the enemy in time or I shoot the hell out of them and I end up dieing instead lmao....its irritating

What are your current speeds and what plan are you on?

3.2 Mbs dl speed and 4.3 mbs up load....and 60 dollar unlimited plan w/ rhapsody....grandfathered in at that since its no longer offered

Currently in Tampa FL speeds are even at 4.3 mbs

And you get lag? When I had my motion , I got 1.3 MBPs down and 0.3 MBPs Up ussually and I used my XBOX 360 Playing Halo Reach on forge with like 6 friends and I never lagged a bit. With PS3 , I had a bit of lag but nothing big. I still never died by lag.. (But I did die cuz I am horrible at Halo/COD)

Lag time in gaming has little to do with Max speed, and a lot to do with Ping time.

If your ping is 500ms, then that means it will be 1/2 second before the server even knows you pulled the trigger. In 1/2 second, the enemy could have already moved out of your gun sites.

Getting a ping below 100ms can be difficult with cellular internet. Your best performance will be connecting to regular wired internet if you can.

Just to let you guys know speed doesn't really matter, it's ping. The multiplayer doesn't use more than 50kbps up or down. Thats why back in my Optimus days with 3G capped @200kbps in the beginning I could still play online.

I get less than 1mbps on avg, 2mbps on an extremely lucky day. and ping is anywhere from 300-500
