4G Speeds Affected After Root?

Revs9k01

Newbie
I just got the phone and did a couple of speed tests and was relatively happy with the results (not lte but good enough at 3.5 down) but now after I am rooted the speed seems to have decreased.

I can't seem to break 1MB down now when I was getting 3.5MB down easily before.

Could this be related to the one click root or am I just imagining this?

When you unroot with the one click program, does it restore to stock?

The root shouldnt have anything to do with it. Plus, you wouldnt have been seeing any 4g speeds with the phone yet since, as discussed many times, the network isnt built yet.

That being said, it could be your tower or even time of day when youre running the speed test. Keep trying.

Yea, you guys might be right. Might just be a fluke coincidence but I just wanted to confirm that the OneClick program doesnt touch any sort of modem settings which might conflict with the 4G connection.

While I am speaking of the 4G connection I also wanted to ask..... I read somewhere that when AT&T comes out with their LTE network that this phone would support it. Is this true? Does this phone have a LTE antenna? Or are people confused by AT&T enabling their HSPU+ version of 4G which we are waiting for?

As far as I've seen there's really nothing you can do to the modem settings to change the speed, though I suppose if you goof the settings too much it just won't work. ;)
