Help 4GLTE only? No "regular" 4G?

Loving the new Note 2.... just awesome in all aspects.

I'm not a phone guru or anything... but the phone has the new 4GLTE.... whatever that means. But it is not available in my area yet.

Ok..... so what about the "regular" 4G I had on my evo3d? Did I just downgrade my data accessibility?

I dont know what LTE or CDMA, etc means.... dont care. All I know is that my phone is stuck on 3G.... and wont get 4G... which i DO have in my area.. because I had it on my evo3d.

confused

The note2 uses the lte version of 4g. The evo used a 4g version called wimax. The note 2 only has a lte radio so it cannot receive wimax. Lte will be everywhere soon enough.

Wimax is on its way out. Your phone only has an LTE radio so until you have lte in your area you will only get 3g service

"Soon enough" means anywhere from a few months to a year depending on where you live. I had to get a Verizon mifi device to make up for the loss of wimax.
