Help 4x3 keyboard disappeared after update

I updated my S4 today, which I regret massively. When I switched it back on, the preinstalled 4x3 keyboard was no longer there. Major f*** up from Samsung there.

I cannot stand the QWERTY-keyboards, and since I'm Norwegian, there are no good alternatives out there, as none of the proper 4x3 keyboards come with a Norwegian dictionary.

Is there anything I can do to get the old, well functioning 4x3 Samsung keyboard back? I am willing to do anything. Even reinstalling my phone and subsequently never, ever upgrading it again.

Please help. QWERTY is not an option.
 
Same thing has happened me and I emailed samsung support and they informed me that the 4 x 3 keyboard is not part of the latest upgrade and maybe will be an option again at a later date. I hate this qwerty and need to get rid of it too. I am not a happy man!
 
I also updated my S4 to 4.3 yesterday and was VERY unhappy to find that the 4x3 keypad has been removed, I can't stand using the qwerty keyboards either. Maybe if enough people complain about this, Samsung will re-install it, I do hope so, surely it wouldn't be too much of a problem for them to re-install it again. :-/

Another very unhappy an disappointed customer!!! :-(
 
Emailed samsung support again and they told me that there was no plans to have the 4 x 3 board re installed and advised me to go into playstore and install an app that would give it to me but would not recommend any. Needless to say I haven't found any decent one!
 
Typical Legendgms, I had a look on playstore too and can't see anything that I like either. Samsung should get rid of that floating keypad which is even more useless to me, too small.
 
Yesterday was my 7th day with my Galaxy S4. As an ex-Apple employee, doing the jump to Samsung was a massive step for me and I've been questioning whether I did the right thing by not going for a 5S.

After finding the 4x3 keyboard, I knew I'd made the right decision. I have never liked using QWERTY keyboards and thought this was a massive plus in the Android box.

Now, I've updated and it's disappeared?! To say I am livid is an understatement!! Why would they take this great feature away for no good reason?!

If anyone has ANY recommendations for an App that will give me the old 4x3 keyboard back, I'd be very appreciative. If not, I'll end up trying to make one myself!
 
I downloaded an app from the play store called perfect keyboard for free and it gave me the 4 x 3 keyboard option. I an still very upset with Samsung for doing this to us!
 
I can recommend Pefect Keyboard Free as well. My wife has the S4 and blamed me for losing the 4 x 3 keypad when it updated :p She even went in to the EE store and threatened to cancel her 2 week old contract :rolleyes: We tried out several alternatives but Perfect Keyboard Free is the best one I found and she is happy again :D

Do you mean the 3X4 board?
 
I uninstalled the updates I have recently installed. The one beside Force Stop. After uninstalling it will have the word "Disable" instead of uninstall updates.

Sorry for the repetition of words. I just think it's way easier to explain in that way.
