Root 5.0.2.7 vs. 5.0.2.8

So, I was under the impression that the stock CWM, 5.0.2.7, had issues or wasn't as reliable or something as 5.0.2.8. What's the difference between the two and why not just use 5.0.2.8 all the time?

What I was going to put first was closer to that... but idk what ext4 means so...

Ext4 is a faster file system than the Samsung RFS file system.

So, if 5.0.2.8 is so much better, why not just use it as the standard and make it so when you install CWM on the Admire, it installs 5.0.2.8?

Because certain admire's dont go well with ext4....so they have to rely on the stock 5.0.2.7 recovery

wouldnt be able to flash the rfs 'stock' backup you shouldve made bbefore upgrading to 5.0.2.8.

5.0.2.8 formats the phone to ext4, this is why u get mount errors trying to wipe an ext4 partition with 5.0.2.7.

cant install the roms that need an ext4 partition with 5.0.2.7 simply because they wont be formatted right and will cause you to bootloop.

Well, makes me glad my phone handles 5.0.2.8 very well. So, to speed things up and use Apps2SD, do I need to format my SD card to EXT4 also or is it already that format to begin with? I always wondered that.
