Help 5.1 update

recived a vm with a link to 5.1 update. didnt know if it is safe so have been googling for updat with no links available.
is there currently a 5.1 android update for the lg volt?
currently runing like 4.2 which came with the phone.
 
There isn't even a 5.0 update, and it's not really likely with the Volt 2 coming out. Can you post a screenshot of the message?
 
is there software out used to hack these phones like that?
it went directly to voice mail. no phone number.
it also has the option to allow automatic downloads. i hit it and started dling. then stopped it about 1/2 through. i was driving and on the phone when it came through. im hoping that it didnt automatically restart.
there is no record of the voicemail.
is there a way to see whats most recently been dl'd and installed?
