5.5.893 new battery findings..

so take a look... this is after the 5.5.893 update yesterday... it used to be where cell standby took most of the battery but now after almost no use today Android OS is constantly doing something... take a look and let me know what you think.

just got the OTA 5.5.893 and mine is doing the same thing Android OS 30% with 50% battery remaining. also motorola.contacts.data is at 19%. what's up with that?

cell standby down the list at 9%.

Yeah, this is the same thing we saw when we early adopters applied the leaked 5.5.893 update. The battery usage should only concern you if some other app is using a large percentage of your battery for a long period of time. It makes sense that the OS will be running in the background even when in sleep mode.

It actually makes more sense that it was cell standby, b/c even if the phone is in sleep mode it is going to be receiving telephone calls. Only when it is off should it not.

sort of in line with this..
I got the extended batteryon my bionic. gave it a full charge over night.
Yesterday I had the phone playing music with the google music app (streaming, no music on my phone) running bluetooth to my snowboard helmet. rode for about 5 hours playing music the entire time. Battery was still at 75%. Original battery only lasted me about 4 hours before it would be dead

Oh i'm loving this. Been off the charger now 16 hours and still showing over 50% power left. I have the extended battery. I keep Bluetooth and 4G on, and have used the phone moderately, not heavy.

Lol - I've pushed 38+ on my extended battery thus far I think the record I've seen in here is around 42-43 hours....

I may not be able to get updates right now b/c I'm on 5.7.893, but I was a really early adopter of 5.5.893 - and now you're understanding why I was raving about the update back then.
