5 "obscure" apps you use

ConvertPad - I don't think this is particularly obscure but I haven't noticed anybody else mentioning it. It allows you to convert just about any unit into another unit of the same category - celsius to farenheit, yuan to dollars, miles to meters, etc. Did you know that 1 US cup is equal to 8 pony?

In addition to the usual categories of temperature, currency, and weights and measures, there are many others, such as magnetic flux density and dynamic viscosity, which are pretty obscure to me but no doubt useful to someone. Then within each category there are many units, including all the expected ones as well as some unusual ones. Under "Cooking" for example, we find your US and UK ounces, plus your pecks (UK and US), dram, and pony.

Drink Water Beta - can be put on your homepage and at a touch you can keep track of how much water you're drinking. Such a simple app but one that I'm using all the time.

I think I have finally found my favorite Grocery App! Thank you so much!

Dunno how obscure they really are, but:

Volume Locker- It keeps me from constantly having to fix my phone's volume levels from when I accidentally hit the volume rocker.

Grocery iQ - Shared shopping list just like Our Groceries that OfTheDamned mentioned, but it allows you to create multiple separate lists. If Our Groceries allowed that I couldn't find how in the short time I tried it, it seemed to limit you to one list...

RideHopper - Ride wait times for amusement parks.

I don't think any of the rest could even be considered slightly obscure...

Here is another great one I found. For those that have your contact photos that come from Facebook, those photos aren't used in other apps like messaging etc. This app unlocks those pictures so they can be used by any other app:

Photo Unlocker Donate - Android app on AppBrain

There is also a free version, the paid one will check automatically for new pictures everyday

I'll throw my hat in:

1. GetGlue - a fun check-in service like Foursquare, but you check into TV shows, movies, games and books.
2. AnyPost - I use ping.fm to post updates to all of my social networks at once, and this is a fantastic ping.fm client.
3. Buzzbox - I'm something of a news junkie, and even though I have NewsRob for my Google Reader, I primarily use this is fantastic news aggregator, which has a wonderful widget.
4. Tapatalk Pro - Dunno if this is obscure or not, but I follow a few forums on my phone with this program regularly. Why Androidforums here doesn't support it, I've no idea.
5. TV Show Favs - A great program to keep track of the TV shows one needs to watch.

Battle.net Mobile - You can put an extra random generated key on top of Blizzard game accounts so it's near impossible to hack, definately nice to have it on my phone instead of carrying around a nerdy key chain.

DirecTV - It's always nice to have a pocket TV guide, and also the ability to remotely control the DVR from anywhere is incredible.

Smart Vibrator - The stock Vibrant vibration for notifications is excessively weak, this allows me to use a more noticable vibration.

Torque - An OBDII scanner for cars; non-car talk explanation: it's a program that allows you to sync to one of those scanners you plug into your car to read diagnostic codes.

Tip Calc - It's really handy having it tell you how much to tip as well as giving you the total and eliminates a lot of math for my lazy self.
