Help 5 second email sending delay

Could someone tell me how to get rid of the 5 second email sending delay?
My S4 is with AT&T and it's a company phone. We use Microsoft exchange for our email on our phones.
Every time I send an email, a 5 second delay shows up. Could anyone tell me how to find the settings for that?

Why is 5 seconds a problem?

We are in a fast paced business and with hundreds of emails that need to be responded to quickly, 5 seconds makes a difference on each one.
I was on the phone with our IT guy the other day and he was able to find it on his phone, but because our phones are configured differently, we couldn't find the settings on my phone.

Does anyone know where to find these settings?

Could be because no one else reading this thread has hit same thing. FWIW I'm not using AT&T and Microsoft Exchange, basically because I'm not in the US.

Thanks, I guess the best thing to do is to call AT&T and see if they can figure it out.
