$50 plan versus $40 plan

Why is it that every metro commercial i hear always says "4g lte plans as low as $50 a month "when they have a $40 plan?

Has to be good reason not to push the cheaper plan that would logically sound more appealing?

There no difference in data speeds right? Cause I'm on the old $40 plan and i love it but the only thing i care about is speeds. I don't care about everything else that's on the $50 plan.

At the 40 dollar one you get 4g lte for your first 250mb of data. I would burn through that real quick.

At the 50 dollars you get 2.5 gig of 4g data before the lower speed kicks in. That is about normal for most. If you do netflix or lots of video streaming and mp3 stuff...a person can go thru that fast.

I'm finally breaking my ATT contract and getting away from contracts for good. I can't believe how much money I have put into phone bills and I have been on contracts for a decade or so.

I just signed up for the Solavei service to be a social member a few business days ago and I'm getting unlimited 4g data/text/mins for $49/mo. I received my SIM card and Solavei VISA debit card that comes as part of the enrolling ($49 enrollment fee)for the service and for lots of great beneficial reasons to the social member like myself. I paid $29 for sim card since I didn't need a phone from the company.

Pretty neat concept and here is already my story as a social member.

They are running a special in an effort to show their appreciation to the beta testers (since the official launch of company isn't until Sept 21) and waiving the enrollment fee till Sept 10 Midnight. Not only are they waiving the enrollment fee but they are giving us our second month of service for FREE. That is a $98 savings in my first two months.

Since I'm referring my wife and two sons (we were all on a family plan). They will now pay me $20 every month that they keep their service. Refer more get more income but right now...I'm just worried about those three. So now my phone bill is $29 every month after that referral commission.

Since I'm referring those three within the first 60 days of signing up for the service Solavei will be depositing a bonus of $50 to my Solavei VISA debit card.

So on September 12 (Happens to be my birthday :) I will be having my $49 enrollment fee deposited back to me via my debit/cash card. Happy Birthday to Me!:) And I have my second month of service for free. I'm pretty excited to know this :) I warrantied my cracked LG Thrill thru ATT and received a Motorola Atrix HD as the upgrade replacement since the LG Thrill was discontinued. How lucky I have been :) Please keep it going :)

yea just saw it on their site

Unlimited Data within the U.S., keeps you free from overages while sharing about Solavei in the community, on Facebook, Twitter and everywhere else. No additional charges regardless of the amount of data
used. Data speeds will reduce when the amount of data used exceeds 4GBs or when roaming domestically of the Solavei network. Speeds reduce to a 2G data experience in these situations (includes Alaska,
Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands).

What is the throttled speed after the first 250mb on the $40 plan? I like the LG Motion 4G phone better the the 3G phones in the same price range. I would be alright if the throttled speed was 3G.

They throttle your 4G to 1x speed but there is a way to turn off 4G so you can run 3G.

random/stupid question here, but how much do you pay for the $50 plan?
I got that plan today and i payed $50.34 + $3 for paying in store... anyone else pay $50.34?

yea u must of made a change to your plan b4 your new billing cycle started. thats the only way they charge u some odd change. they charged me $2 for changing my plan 2 weeks b4 my new billing cycle not sure how that works but its certain

I have changed my metro plan so many times, but I finally have it perfect lol. I first bought the Admire in Jan, so obviously the $50 plan. Then I bought the Connect but since I had cracked my laptop screen, I didn't have Internet service & was basically using my phone as my computer. So I got the $70 plan. Then that effing brain tumor decided to take up residency again & um, cancer isn't cheap, so I dropped to the $40 plan. I had already bought a new laptop, had service installed again so I rarely use my data. Then I gave the Admire to the bf, he does so much to help me out.... makes sure I eat, goes shopping for me (I don't need anyone's germs right now). So I now only pay $35 because I put him on my plan so we would both have lower rates. I said, yeah, that pays for us paying to pay our bills. Crazy.
