Help 5800 to Desire?

Rew

Well-Known Member
How can I get my phone numbers off my Nokia 5800 onto my HTC Desire?

I have exported them to my PC in CSV and Text format.

I've tried to put my old Sim in but it doesn't come up with anything in the contacts list.

LOST :(

I've put my old Sim in and I can see them but how do I get them off that Sim on to the phone so I can put my new Sim in?

Why do you need to involve the SIM cards?

Enable bluetooth on both devices, pair them and send them over in one lump! I sent 300+ contacts in less than 15 secs from my N96 to my old Hero.

Also SIM cards only have ONE name field, and ONE number field. If you have say a home and mobile number for a contact, only one of these will get saved to the SIM.

I appreciate you trying to help guy's but I've had this phone for few hours and at the moment I feel like sending it back.

I don't see a toolkit in my settings.

Why can't I just copy them to the phone from the sim like most other phones?

But you'll likely get them as phone contacts rather than google, so they wont sync with your Gmail acct.

Bluetoothing avoids this. ;)
