5G Version or Regular Note 10+?

As the title states, would it be wise to avoid getting the 5G version or should I go straight for it? I know 5g isn't available in some areas but with the 5G network lacking in some of those areas, would it still have somewhat of a better connection than your standard 4G?

I think a lot depends on your chipset...

I'm in the UK, so I'm getting the Exynos with their own 5G modem.

However, I have heard that the US Snapdarghons maybe shipping with the Qualcom X50 instead of the X55. From what I've read the X50 is more power hungry. Also, there seems to be issues with the way US carriers are rolling out 5G...

One consideration will be how long you plan to keep the phone.

My S7Edge is now 3 1/2. I'm planning(hoping) to keep the note 10 for 4-5 years based on how the 7Edge has performed and is still performing, so going 5G now is a no brainer for me.

But if you're planning to upgrade next year, probably not as much of an issue.

there are a few reviews from cities that have 5g. the problem from what i can see according to the reviews is that 5g even though it is up needs to be everywhere. 5g does not penetrate buildings and can revert to 3g speeds..... but i think the reviews i saw, they were using the s9 5g phones.

its gonna take a few years to get 5g. i am kind of gambling that verizon will make an effort to get 5g as fast as it can. it is a bet i can afford right now......so i'm not sure how much you are willing to bet on when 5g wil come out. if i win then good for me.

Should I return to Samsung I'll try the plain S10.

nope get the note 10+. but it is to early to compare the two as the note 10+ is not out in the wild yet. give it at least a month before making that decision.
