6.12.173 update is now official

Aight guys mine is downloading...the official...I'm rooted and running safe strap....upon attempting to install I'm getting an error message...is this from safe strap?

I never asked to be a tester so i might just be a lucky to be sent it. don't know how they select testers. it was downloaded over the 4g connection if you need to know that. Was going to copy it and put it somewhere but friend was over and hit accept on it. system it did was 6.12.173.xt912 not 174 like a few posted ago. might be another update later on though

Response, well most of it....random folks are selected.

Regarding your concern,it is advised that you sign in to our Support Forums so that you can be registered to it. That is where the update testers are chosen randomly.
 
i got the update this afternoon around 5, but now my email through my exchange server is not working, every time i try and access through my accounts, it crashes my accounts

just tried, didn;t work. I was going to delete the account and redo it, but i can't get in to delete the account and the corporate sync is gone too. Admittedly, i am not a pro at using this phone, i have had it less than 24 hours

edit: when i go to data manager, the 'email and corporate sync' are not active

Were you able to reactivate them, and did that fix it?

Try going to menu/settings/accounts and deleting the exchange account. Then recreate it.

If that doesn't work, it sounds like you may be stuck with a factory reset to get it to work :(.
 
As reported in the MAXX update thread, I and others are having the same exchange issue. I even factory-reset my phone and still can't access my email. Completely unacceptable.

The update ads a new Smart Actions trigger, battery life increase overall, improved data throughput performance in low 4G signal environments, improved data connectivity stability when Airplane mode is disabled.

**** this noise. not only did it unroot me, but i've had 4g issues all morning. it's WORSE than it was before (i was on rooted stock, nothing leaked). will this problem never be fixed? (i didn't download the keep root ota thing, i do realize that).

on with Verizon now, apparently the update deleted certain files from the phone which are critical to the corporate sync, The only way to get those files back on the machine is to do a reset. Thank god i only bought the phone Sunday morning and really don't have anything on it. I will let you know if it worked
