I just put a pny class10 microxd 64gig card in my volt and works perfectly. so if anyone has doubts about it supporting cards over 32gb go for it because it works... i dont know why they refuse to report that they work... these days 32gb is not enough space

It may work flawlessly, but LG may have found that it's not be 100% reliable for one reason or another and that 32gb is. So, rather than deal with a lot of complaints for the 64gb they say it supports up to 32gb

It's more likely that the people doing the web specs haven't been cleared to update the spec. It took HTC two years to update theirs for one example. Phandroid did a story not too long ago about how that spec is old for a lot of phones, across all brands.

Either the storage controller supports 64 GB or it doesn't.

If it does and you use a good card, you're golden.

I ran out of space on my 32 years ago.... so after reading many threads and youtube videos the difference between sdhc and sdxc were stupid and if the galaxy s back in whatever year was able to format the sdxc card then the volt should do it too.... and getting one off ebay for $24 the risk was minimal

its not a cheap card.... the price was cheap $24 the card was a name brand.... I did buy one for $10 but sent it back since it said on the front 64gb sdhc.... and that is impossible since 64 and up are sdxc.... it reported 8mb size and would not format... lol

Exactly. The problem is that they also counterfeit name brand cards.

That's what I was referring to.

And I don't mean anything by cheap, other than a price description.

You gotta admit - $24 for a name brand 64 GB card is cheap. I paid double that for mine. :D

some of the 64gb sdxc's are $70... but i dont know the markup on such items, the ones that are 45-50 could have a huge markup and someone on ebay is happy making $5 per card.... but on ebay there is no fear since they favor the buyer so you will always get a refund

You're completely unaware that forums are filled with people crying that they've lost completely trying for any refunds or any satisfaction whatsoever from the scum managing eBay?

Yeah - there's a ton to fear about getting ripped off on eBay and most especially for counterfeit sd cards.

You may believe what you like but everyone reading this would do well to warned.

When in doubt, search the Play Store for counterfeit sd card - many fine apps will tell you if you've been ripped off.
