720p recording or NOT?

That must have been iPhone 3GS-buddies, bcause every review I have read has stated that the iPhone 4 has one of the best mobile cameras around, while everything HTC puts their name on gets the verdict: "Camera could be a lot better"

According to just about every test the only camera that can beat the iPhone 4 is Nokias N8. And Symbian just is not an option for me.

Basically I have decided to stay with my iPhone 4.

I am not allergic to Apple. And I don't think Steve Jobs is the devil. I just want to have a good phone, and for the summer I want a great camera phone.

When I can get an Android phone that boasts these 2 qualities, I will be very interested.

Put the ISO up in camera mode, then switch to video mode. You will be lagg-free.

Interesting.. this does make a big difference it seems. Still not great though.

With ISO on auto I get a blurred and jerky video. With it set to ISO 800 I get the occasional jerk but otherwise smooth video. That's not a card limitation is it? (I'm using a Class II)
I thought this had been debated and Class II was deemed fast enough for the low bitrate video of the Desire.

Still doesn't compare to the iPhone 4 camera ;)
