Help ##778

I am no longer able to access the menu using ##778. Anyone else and is there another option or has verizon blocked it in some way?

It does nothing for me now but bring up who I have called and who has called me. That my verizon mobile updated this morning and I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Mine works fine.

Turn off any dail confirm programs or apps.

I undid that d**n my verizon update and restarted phone and now I have the ##778 ability back. Thanks anyway guys!!

Ha, I was suspicious of that update and I haven't applied it yet. When I saw "usage meters for mobile hotspot and mobile broadband connect" in the recent changes it was a red flag for me.

Did it completely disable your hotspot or did it just take away ##778?

No it just took away the ##778 ability. Hotspot still worked!!!

How do you undo the update? I cannot get the 778 to work either.

I believe I went to settings>applications>my verizon mobile and did it from there.

Don't know if it'll help, but months ago when I tried this I also couldn't get it to work. Instead of going to the menu it would try dialing instead. I then started using PDAnet, which is just as good only using the USB cable.

For other reasons, I rooted my phone using unrevoked and the first (okay second) thing I tried was accessing this and it worked. So that may be an option as well.

If you are considering that, read up on it first and once you've download the required files for your PC, it really only takes 10 minutes and all your settings and files are kept as they were.
