First off let me say, I love this ROM (SS v4.6). It is one of the best I have used in a while. After using I noticed the GPS icon was always flashing and my battery was horrible. So I turned the GPS off, battery life is the best ever now.

But I like to have the GPS on all the time, typically with most ROMS with the GPS always on I could get at least 18HRs of battery (I work in a poor reception area). But with 4.6 I was luck to get 8hrs.

So I went to settings, and location. and turned on the GPS and wireless network location (Both location boxes checked) and now the GPS is no longer trying to update constantly, the battery life is way better, PLUS I no longer have to turn the GPS on and off. Thank you so much for this awesome ROM (5 out of 5)

Anyone else not able to set a custom ringtone in gtalk or messaging app? I see the stock ringtones, but no option to set a custom one from my collection.

The only spot that allows for this is the phone ringtone in settings->sound.

I installed the 4.6 Rom and really like this version. I do however have one issue that is killing me. I cannot do anything with bookmarks in the browser without it forceclosing. I have also tried to add a bookmark to my homescreen and it does the same thing, just forceclose. P.S. I have tried the regular browser and Skyfire as well.

Any Ideas?

First off, I'd like to say that this is a pretty awesome rom....

But now, here I go with my few issues....

I flashed right over Cyanogen, like Chevy said, and it worked fine... but these are my few problems and I'm wondering if there's a fix for them:

1. Home Screen Redraw - ALLLLLLL the time. Wondering if this a product of A2SD.
2. A2SD Problems - All the apps and widgets I want to be on the SD card are. And they run from the SD card. But sometimes when I Mount my SD card for Mass Storage (via USB) or I reboot my phone, it will reload all my apps, but it won't reload my widgets. It says PROBLEM LOADING WIDGET all over my home screens. When I go into the Widgets menu to add widgets to my desktop, the ones on my SD card don't show up. And also, I just restarted my phone earlier because I think my cellular radio needed reset because I wasn't receiving texts, and my Lock Pattern had disappeared and it was the stock SLIDE TO UNLOCK screen. NOT GOOD FOR SECURITY!!!!

Those are my few issues. Any fixes? Thanks!

Have you tried 4.7 yet? It should resolve the redraw issues - as for apps2sd - it is ALL managed by Froyo - my script simply toggles the internal settings, still managed by Froyo.

As far as the lock pattern going away - very odd, as I haven't changed anything in there. Let me know if it happens in 4.7!

I have 4.7 up and running right now with the 1.25 Ghz ULV Kernel.

It's working fine. I fixed the widget problem by just transferring all those apps back to the internal memory via Titanium Backup. All my games and stuff without widgets are on my SD card.

I don't understand why when the widgets are on my SD card, they won't show up in the menu yet all the apps for them show up in my app drawer. It doesn't make sense.

But whatever.

As for the Redraw... 4.7 fixed that. I'm using Launcher Pro Plus, and so far no big redraws, and it catches up fairly quickly. Also, the lock screen is staying put finally. So that's good.

I believe the issue with apps2sd MAY be the launcher - ADW released a new version that supposedly fixes this issue

That's good. I really don't like ADW as it's not as customizable as Launcher Pro Plus... but if it fixes a problem... then hey. Might as well give a go? No?
