It has been 25 years since this tragedy and my heart still aches. It aches for the loss of life and it aches for the loss of innocence.

I was on my way to work when I heard that one of the towers had been hit by a plane. By the time I arrived at my job site, I was getting that sick feeling deep in my gut that we were under attack. The construction workers near the house I was working on all gathered in the yard and we listened to the radio in disbelief as our world was forever changed. We all gathered up our tools and went home only to find that this was only the beginning.

Where were you when this travesty unfurled?

I was working in my office when I got a text from my wife to say that a plane had hit one of the towers. The main news websites had already been overloaded, so I had to go to a fairly obscure one to find out what was happening. It was a very strange, unreal feeling that day, but worse for one of my brothers because he knew a bunch of people who were in one of the towers at the time (above the impact point, so you can guess how that went).

I've been to the memorial at the site, which is moving, respectful and very well done.

I was home, watching our two daughters, when it started. It only got worse as the day went on. I kept the kids entertained with the cartoon network and followed the happenings in New York on the radio.
I read something, today, that over 25% of Americans have been born after 9/11/2001, and don't have that memory.

Seems like much of the remaining 75% have forgotten, which makes me feel angry.

Yeah someone did mentioned it to in the lobby today and I was like thinking of the tower attack with Somerset, P.A. where my mother was in like last year, and just visiting my cousin's place, I was in the dentis chair at that time and all I could of ever remember was the two dentist were saying their commentary over and over of the planes.. then I turned on the tv, just when the smoke was bursting.
