Root .901 => .902 update failure?

Ok, so I was on .901. Was part of the soak test but the file was never pushed to me for whatever reason. Got the .902 update file tonight from another forum from someone else who was on .901 and received the .902 OTA without being a part of the soak.

So, I tried to load the update file from stock recovery (I haven't installed any custom roms, done any webtop hack, etc.), completely stock other than rooted. .893 and .901 installed easily enough and I haven't changed anything since then.

The file stops while updating and I get an:
"Updatng BP ...
assert failed "motorola.motoflash("/tmp/bp.img")
E:Error in .tmp/sideload/package.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted."

However, once it rebooted and I go into settings, my system version says .902 but my baseband is different from another user who's .902 baseband is Baseband: CDMA_N_04.07.00R LTEDC_U_07.1F.00.

Did the update fail completely? Did it only half apply? Did it apply completely even though it said aborted?

Well, according to that documentation, it appears that my system version is stating it's 902 but my baseband version is 901.

I'm going out on a limb here an guessing that can't be a good thing. lol. Any suggestions on what the error was / how to fix it? :confused:

I had done just a regular rebooted several times and still got the same error, so I followed km75's advice.

I shutdown, battery pull, re-seated the sd-card, rebooted, deleted the original update file on the sd-card, re-downloaded it, and tried again. Installed flawlessly this time.
