I'm a huge NASCAR fan and would love if a dev could make our phone "think" its on Sprints network so the Sprint NASCAR app will run. I have the apk but it won't run. Can someone unlock it?

I'd be willing to donate to anyone who can get it working.

Did you try changing your build.prop to match the Evo 3D?

have you tried MeanRom? its a port from the 3D its very sprinty, i used sprint apps on it before

Tried editing build.prop to say just Evo3d and changed everything from virgin mobile to say sprint. Still not working.

Lol go to the app info and you will see it checks your number and other stuff I don't think we can

I was able to remove the Sprint Lock and update from the apk and even install it but when attempting to open the app it ended in a force close

I simply xfer'd the Nascar app from my Spirit HTC Evo View 4G to my phone and it runs fine. Nothing extra needed at all to make it work. You must be using your VM data connection instead of Wi-Fi but that's exactly the same restriction as my View.

I'd post the app but: would that be warez since it isn't an app you can purchase anywhere and how do I take an installed app and make it into something I could post here for others to install? I used Titanium Backup to send the backup version from tablet to phone so that isn't helpful here.

no. using the apk alone won't work. im am 90% sure you need the sprint framework apks. And I don't mean the framework files in /system/framework. There are sprint specific apks in /system/app that im sure you need. Some should already exist in stock rom but other you will need. Just have to look at a deodexed stock sprint rom to find them...

if you are on windows do

dir > dirlisting.txt

if on linux do

ls -l > dirlisting.txt

of course do this at the command prompt in the /system/app folder

and post that txt file

That'd be nearly impossible since we would have to port it from a device with a different Cpu, Gpu or No Gpu, and I'm 100% certain it won't be arm7

Try pushing those. If that doesn't work do logcat while opening the app you are trying to use
