Who can port Eclair (or earlier) to our beloved Optimus?

The first question would probably be "Why?"

The REAL question is " Why the hell not?"

Just a suggestion. Although (similar to installing windows on certain machines)
It may not come out very well because the phone was built specifically for Froyo and Gingerbread.

Is it possible?
Would someone be willing to try it?

Everything would have to be rewritten, we need a kernel for that o/s and drivers written for that o/s......to do all that work for eclair would be a waste of time.....everyone is trying to freeze ice cream sandwich at the moment....
Is it possible? Yes. Would you be able to find a dev willing to do it? Probably not. After ICS is stable and good to go? Maybe.

Unless you're willing to throw up some money, I'm pretty sure nobody is going to take this up.. lol

After ICS is stable, its on to Jelly Bean. Theres always new ways to occupy the senses of android to keep us from going backwards. The futures unknown, the past is,well its over.
