a check in app?

I recently got an LG Axis and was wondering if there's an app similar to the iphone check in app. Hopefully one exists

Facebook, Foursquare, Yelp all do checkins from the Android apps. Are you looking for something different??

well my friend uses and Iphone and his facebook mobile gives him the option to do the "check in" for whatever location he's at, I'd like to do the same but my facebook for Android doesn't have that option, maybe I should download the latest version of Facebook for the Android

The android app was updated a long time ago. Do you never update any of your apps?

There is an auto update option if you don't have the 30 seconds to do updates more than once a month

Actually, the update was less than a month ago... and based on the OP's post count and join date, I'm guessing he's a bit new. Granting a little bit of slack wouldn't be unreasonable.

I wouldn't trust those. I mean, its a facebook app. It does what it does, there isnt anything wrong with it.

UUmmmm ok this auto update apps thingie.....................

Alright here it is, I got my Desire just before Crimbo and havent had a chance to play about with the apps too much.

I have been using the Facebook app that was pre installed but neither this, or the Places app tha came installed have the check in option.

So can I update the apps ? or do I need to get new ones from the Marketplace ....... if I do this will the pre installed ones just sit there taking up space.

Would be interested to know.
