Help A different screen issue

Okay so, I just got my transform ultra today.

When I first turned it on, the screen worked fine. Through the activating and whatnot everything was fine.

It had a little issue where it wouldn't recognize that I was touching the screen, and putting the phone to sleep and back on fixed that. It didn't bother me much cause it didn't really happen often.

It updates, and it worked for a little while after that.
Now the screen recognizes touch CONSTANTLY. I can not touch it at all and it just clicks all over the place, I can't do anything to stop it. I have been fighting it all day, I can't do anything with the phone at all because of it.

Has anyone had this problem, anyone know a fix? I don't have the weird icon dragging issue everyone is talking about, that is all I'm finding anywhere.

I downloaded that TouchUtil, and it shows that it is recognizing touch in a straight line across the middle of the screen.. Its doing it pretty much 95% of the time.
 
This is just a thought since I work with many touch screen devices... Make sure the screen is clean from outside. If there is a lot of grease or food or something on there it might recognize it as a finger (but that's probably not causing the problem)

Yeah, I thought of that too. Its clean. I keep fighting it, no matter how frustrating. I dunno why lol

I also noticed, that if I leave it alone for a couple hours, then use it it works fine for about 5 minutes and goes back to the problem.
 
This sounds like a hardware issue. Try a factory reset and if it still does it return it if you can.
 
I took it to Sprint today, and they reset it. They were like, we fixed it! And it started acting up the same way before we even got to the car. Since I bought through amazon wireless, we are waiting for the replacement to come in Friday.
Hopefully the new one will work.
