Help A few issues

Hi everybody! I've had my Triumph for about 2 months now, and haven't really had any issues, but my wife has had hers about 3 weeks or so and is running into a few.

The first (and more annoying one) is that she will run into problems playing music. She's been using Doubletwist, and occasionally it will complain that it "can't play back this type of audio file," even though it was just a few moments ago. Once this occurs it is not limited to Doubletwist, but other apps as well: games won't play their audio, the default music player gives the same error message that Doubletwist does, and the phone doesn't make the system sounds either.

However, there are a few apps that still do play audio. Songbird will still playback files, as will Doggcatcher. The only thing that fixes this seems to be resetting the phone, which brings up the next issue.

When this occurs, and she goes to turn the phone off and back on again, the phone reboots instead of turning off, i.e. holding the power button and selecting "power off" results in the phone resetting.

I'm thinking the best course is probably to take it back to Best Buy (we got the replacement plan on it just for this reason), but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what could be causing it.

I guess I would try the following:
Power Down
Pull and re-insert the microSD card
Power Back Up.

If that doesn't work.
I would try a Factory Reset (shouldn't affect the contents of the microSD card).

If that doesn't work.
Back up the microSD card.
Format the microSD card using the phone (not a PC).
Re-populate the microSD card.

If that doesn't work.
Get a replacement phone.

Thanks for the suggestions, I thought I would post back with with how we resolved the issue (late is better than never, I suppose, in case anyone else with a similar issue finds the thread).

A day or so after I posted my question, we received a new (larger) SD card for my wife's phone, put that in, and BAM! no more problems. So it seems that somehow, the SD card was causing the issues.
