A few noob questions

I'm sure these get asked a lot, I have done some reading around (here and other places) and can't seem to find any information that I am confident enough to say its up to date. So i would like to find out first hand from anyone with some experience.

1. Which way should i root? I see lots of different things about programs, and various apps and it gets to be information overload. I have read the stickies and found this: http://androidforums.com/galaxy-s2-...t/482994-rooting-galaxy-s2-dummies-guide.html this looks like the most up to date information i could find, is it the best / easiest way?

2. I'm worried about voiding my warranty, what do i need to backup, save for future use if i need them? how can i back these up, or where can i find them? I do have access to a USB jig, so that won't be a problem.

Sorry if that is a bit long winded, just wanted to make sure i got everything right.

1. Chain fire method. Tried and tested and reliable. Don't use any other.

2. Back up once rooted with titanium (buy the app), and using cwm recovery that gets added to your phone with rooting

3. Warranty, in theory void if you root. but don't worry about it, small chance of problem, seems Very reliable phone and rooting safe if you follow to the letter ;)

so if i do all this, then use a usb jig to remove the yellow ! and reset the flash counter, would the repairs be covered, if i need any at a future date?
