A few questions about texting and copy/paste

In the text messages section there are numbers next to the messages that say (0/2) or (0/12) for example. What does the 0 stand for?

Another question I have is what is the best way to copy/paste? Seems lik you can do a long button press to bring up the menu but highlighting words is very cumbersome and not very accurate. Is there a better way?

My last question has to do with moving the cursor. Like while I type this on my phone and I want to go back a few sentences, I pretty much have yo guess where it is going to end up. Most of the time I end up deleting letters or words. Is there a better way?

Thanks

the 0 is the read/unread portion, so if it says 2/12, you have to unread text, 0/12 means you have no unread, naturally the 12 would be number of test counting both you and the contact.

two unread not to unread, LOL!!

Gotcha. Thanks.

Does anyone know of a better way to copy/paste or to control the cursor (when going back to add or delete something?
