Root A few questions about... well everything

OK, why did you have to re-download s2e? What kernel are you using? If your using a kernel that mounts the sdext as /data already then it makes PERFECT sense that s2e won't work...
 
So you weren't using the no-ext kernel? Yep, that's a fail. Gotta use that no-ext kernel of Kato's. :D
 
Alrighty now... I was able to get my old ass PC to recognize USB mass storage mode. Downloaded drivers to phone then copied em to PC. Now, I can't seem to locate anyway to connect other than mass storage. Wanted to see if USB tethering would work but can't seem to figure it out. :confused:

Anybody know how to do this? Or am I just gonna have to dl to the phone and just transfer to PC? I'm guessing that's it but.... :(
 
Hey guys. Any chance you could help me out setting up the dfs software? I downloaded the Setup DFS 4.6.4.1 file from xda. Went to install it and said I needed .net framework profile client 4.0 so once I got that dl'd moved it to my PC, and hit a roadblock. I run it and it needs to download to pc which I can't have connect to the internet unless I hard tether. I found one post by wetbiker7 saying easy tether lite would work. I've tried several different tethering apps and none of them seem to be going right. Just kinda sol'd at the moment I guess:(
