You got the one from Droid Life? The file name should be com.netflix.mediaclient-3.apk
Uninstall the one you have because it is definitely the wrong one.
The mediaclient-3 didnt work for me i had to use the mediaclient-2 which was from the first mirror on droid life i believe but i found it on the forums here

Mine died so I ended up updating to GB and now it is working. I had found a copy of the .apk and saved it in my dropbox. Seems to work well.

Wireless Tether for Root not working on GB though. Any suggestions? I have it downloaded and can run it, my cpu connects to it but I can't get internet access.

I've been using the app NetQ ( $0.99 in the market) so I could manage both my disc and instant queues and if you have the netflix app installed it will let you stream trough the NetQ app. I tried streaming through netflix yesterday before I updated to the new one and I got the install the new version message but when I went into NetQ It still worked even though I didn't update yet. Maybe that could be another option for people who can't get it to work. I like the NetQ app better it doesn't take forever to load like the Netflix one does.

The "here" link worked for me. I even hit the link from my phone, downloaded, and clicked on the file and it installed itself, no secondary app neccessary! Works flawlessly! I'm on stock signed GB.

Please don't hijack the thread like this. This is issue is completely unrelated to OP's original request. But to answer your question anyway it won't work on GB. period.
Also the com.netflix.mediaclient-2.apk is the same as com.netflix.mediaclient-3.apk. They have the same md5sum
