A little help please guys.

Hi there i dont know where to turn now,i have a branded t mob desire that i want to get unbranded totaly i.e sim lock off and all the t mob junk off.So i want to cpw and was told as they were a HTC service centre they could do this but i would need a proof of purchase(phone on contract). This is where it gets tricky as my desire was a upgrade due to a faulty G2(hero) i have no record of geting the desire.I have called T mob six times for a proof of purchase/ ownership letter and have only recived one letter to say i owned the G2!!!!!!!!!

I went into cpw today to explain this and spoke to the manager( the rudest man ever) and was told that even if i had a letter of ownership they wont touch it as its a t mobile phone and not their problem,Even though they are a HTC repair centre!

All i want is to use my desire sim free and with all the t mob stuff off but still recive ota up dates.Dont want to root as i am not the best with computers.

You can unlock it by following the guide here:

Not tried it myself, but other users on this forum claim success.

As to the T-Mob junk, to what are you referring? I've got a T-M branded Desire, and all I've got is the boot splash screen and a little W'n'W over the internet icon, which I don't use anyway because I use Dolphin HD.

There's nothin else there that's worth getting upset about (IMO)
