I'm new here and this is my first post, I've been looking through the forums the last couple of days for information about updating my htc desire to 2.2 (which I only actually recived yesterday).
I bought the phone brand new/unlocked from mobicity. Anyway, I received the phone and sure enough it was still on 2.1. I tried search for updates and it says my phone is up-to-date, so no luck there.
So then i proceeded to use a guide i found on this forum to do the update manually, I installed all the drivers, made a gold card, then ran the update file i downloaded and away it went, untill about a min into the procces it came up with error 140, from what I read this means i have a newer bootloader, or something. version .80?
So yeah Basically I'm after some info on what my options are on updating to version 2.2?

p.s my current software is,
firmware version: 2.1 - update1
Baseband: 32.41.00.32U_4.08.00.09
Kernel Version: 2.6.29-3dfdf77a, htc-kernel@and18-2 #1
build number: 1.30.415.3 CL208260 release-keys

browser v: webkit 3.1
