A little political humor...

Don't take it so hard Stinky, it's often difficult to detect a poster's tone without visual or audio cues even for people of the same culture.

Wow... I am really sorry about this! :(

But you are right I should not be so hard on myself.

Damn my apologies.

You are right though.

For example in my culture... you never ask the "Slaghuis" or Slaughter House / Butchery this specific question:

"Hoe is jy vleis / wors?"

Translation:

How is your sausage?

He will get very offended... it is not considered correct. He / she will think you are hitting on him or her.

Anywayz. I am really sorry! :(

I am having a but of difficulty ajusting to your culture sometimes sorry!

It's hard trying to understand what you people mean sometimes...

Sarcasm is ubiquitous in our culture but apparently not so in yours, for which you should be grateful. Sometimes it's humorous and sometimes destructive depending on how it is used and who it is aimed at.

I'm sure many of us wouldn't last long in your culture either if we had to 'check' our sarcasm at the border.

To your credit you've certainly mastered the appropriate use of the word 'shit'. ;)

Cheers!

Do you want to know why 99% of us in SA think The Lion King was such a funny movie and why we think it's got a good sense of humour?

Because ama-Simba or that Simba the Lion or amaSimba in isiZulu means "Shit"! ahhahahahahaaa!!!
