Root A little root help...

Oddly enough i'm stuck at step 1. I placed the zip file on my SD card. I powered off the phone, hold vol down and turn phone on. I get bootloader screen and it scans, but it never finds the zip file. Why? I've renamed it 10 times and nothing. Any ideas?

The file is on the root of my card.

What method are u using.With simple root I did not have to rename the file.

im using simple root right now. and im on the firs part. It goes into the skating android part. but it doesnt download an update or ask me if i want to reboot. what am i doing wrong?
