a Question about ICS?

by any slight chance, will there ever be a ICS 4.0 for the Ally? i really needa to know, if there will be, what are the probabilities?

If we do manage, with the amount of space the ally has. It would have to be durasticly trimmed down to nothing. No goodies, no easter eggs, no fancyness. Just a simple lightweight build of ics. Simply put, it would look like what we have now but say ics.
If you want ics so badly, use the sdk or install the x86 version to your virtual pc 0.0 or spend the money for a buggy device that just rolled out.

The Bionic is rumored to still be 6 months away from ICS, as are all other VZW phones. That is, official updates. A custom ROM will probably be out soon, if it's not already.

i'm getting the bionic. i saw the eta for ics was the first quarter of 2012, but im not expecting it before june. i've done a bit of research and all fingers point to the bionic being the best phone pre-nexus. never been a fan of samsung, and the bionic ui (is it still called blur?) is sexy. but yea, if the ally ever gets ics they'll probably have released tiramisu by then.

Droid bionic will recieve ics first quarter or sooner. And correct, all droid currently run the newest blur ui. (Which im trying desperately to port to the ally while working with gingerbread)
Im waiting for the droid4g (which i asked for a release date the other day at verizon and they had no clue what i was talking about phone wize meaning they never heard of the phone 0.o)
The smart thing todo is to buy a phone that will recieve the ics upgrade software wise. Many bugs in the system at this point.
