Help A (seemingly) random smattering of recent issues

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to this forum, and I have been having a few issues with my Atrix.

First off, some basic information:

I'm running Android 2.3.6 on build 4.5.141, with an AT&T phone. My phone is currently unrooted (ever since we got Gingerbread, and the ability to download 3rd party apps, I haven't rerooted, but it was once upon a time). I use Launcher Pro.

Anyway, in the last few days (before the new build update as well...that is to say, updating neither fixed it, nor made it worse), I've started getting a weird collection of issues.

First, I've had problems with the Bluetooth connecting to my car's handsfree. I have had this pairing (car+phone) for about 10 months, with no issues until very recently.

Secondly, in the last couple of days, I've had issues being able to answer a call. The call comes through, but on the "answer screen," when I press "Answer," the phone does nothing. I'll also add, the phone's ringtone doesn't sound, it only vibrates. After sitting there vibrating, with no touch response, it will eventually give me an error saying process com.android.phone is not responding, and prompts me to force close, wait, or report. Force closing seems to completely reset my phone's network capabilities. The signal drops for a little while, before coming back. I am able to make calls, and this problem does not always occur (I'd say 75% of the time it does). I have not been able to find a common denominator.

Thirdly, if I go into the settings to check if the ringtones are properly set, the entire phone freezes, and reboots itself.

Fourth, over the last two days, the phone has had a HUGE battery drain. To the end of after about 20-30 minutes of normal usage, and 2-3 hours on standby, the battery has lost over half its power. The phone was also much warmer to the touch than usual. This is not normal.

I have been having a few issues with PowerAMP, so I reinstalled that. I'm wondering if maybe there were some hung processes or something associated with this program that were draining my battery. After a full recharge tonight, I should be able to tell tomorrow whether or not this has fixed the battery issue. It does seem to have fixed the other issues with the program. I did notice the phone cool down after the reinstall, but the battery appeared to continue draining at an above normal rate. Perhaps it was already too late? I went into the battery settings (did one update do away with the battery meter? I don't see it anymore), and noticed that my "Media" were consuming a lot of battery (yesterday it was over 80%, today it was in the 45% range). Normally, the display uses about 45%, and everything else is considerably lower. Is it possible to figure out more specifically what constitutes "Media?"

Unfortunately, I forgot to uninstall Superuser when I went to the warranty repair center, and they saw the phone had been rooted in the past. Oops.

I do have insurance on it, but needless to say, I'd like to get this particular unit working if possible.

So my questions are: can anyone think of anything that would cause all of these issues to appear rather suddenly? I have my phone's programs set to autoupdate, so I'm not completely aware of what software might've changed during this time (I did notice PowerAMP update, so that's one of the reasons I thought it might have something to do with it), but I haven't installed any new software in this time frame.

If I do have to go down the path of a hard restore (which seems likely), is there any program that will allow me to back everything up. I know Titanium does this, but since I'm not rooted, it doesn't appear to be of much help.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Cheers!

I'm facing the same problem... pretty much point to point! If you have found a resolution, please let me know too.

Thanks.
