Root A Small problem

Thanks for checking the thread, i am new here and i love is so far.
I just rooted my LG Optimus T (i think)
i was told to check by opening terminal and type SU
I did and then someone poped out and i actidentaly clicked deny!!
now when i go in terminal and i try to type SU again, it just tells me permission deny?

What can i do to find out i am rooted and to also click Allow instead on deny ofter type SU?

i just started with the Rooting and Adroid so i am very new to this.
I was involved in the jailbreaking when i had an iphone, but i got disgusted with apple.
so here i am
Please tell me as well (if you want) what i should do once im rooted.
i have googled it and there is so much info out there that made me confused.

if you could find a link that would be great.

Are there any ROMs for the LG Optimus T?

ohhhh, nevermind guys, i figured it out
i now have a "Super User" app icon in my applications list.

What should i do next now that im rooted?
please advise
