A sweet score for my EVO and 3500 mAh battery!

OK, so I had the 3500 mAh extended battery from my Hero and even though I sold the phone, I kept the battery. When I got the EVO and everyone was complaining (even me) about the battery, I put it in my EVO and HOLY CRAP BATMAN ... I got 15+ hours the first day (and I abused the hell out of it - games, 4G, email, surfing and of course, making calls!) I took it off my charger about 7am and by 10 pm I was at 43%.

Instead of waiting for a company to develop a backing, I found this little diddy at a local kiosk ... and it works FANTASTICALLY! All I know about this case is that it is called HEX case - don't know who makes it tho. It cost me $10. I took pics, but for the life of me, I don't know how to post them.

Any help?
 
I need to see this. What does the 3500 mah battery for the hero actually end up though. It's not the full 3500 mah, maybe more like 2500 hopefully?
 
that looks unfinished and sloppy because it's clear and made to work with the stock back door still on.
i love the shape though. THAT is what extended covers should basically look like though.
why did seidio get it oh so wrong??
 
Hold on, so this massive battery only gets you 15+ hours? I get 30 +/- on my regular battery with no special tricks or task killers...

Obviously he was using the phone a lot. 15 hours is impressive for heavy using, I can get like 8 hours with everything turned on except 4g (and 4g drains the batt), and i'm talking about constant use, not standby.

Sure I prefer my battery over that one, but to each his own. Though I would highly recommend buying a case that is not clear...

+1 i get about 7-10 hours with moderate to heavy usage. all those people getting 25+ hours arent using their phone as much.
 
not a bad score - heck, i'd go full clear to show off that red internal (though it reminds me of my old school nokia 3300's clear case full of led's lol)

i wouldnt mind having that handy for day trips hiking etc
 
I agree - it's not the most beautiful thing, but to me, it sure beats having to carry around an extra battery or two. It fits nicely in my side pouch and when I take it out, the back is in my palm, so no one sees. Not that I am hiding anything, but it's not as visible as one would think.

Hey, for $10 compared to having to buy a new battery just to get the backing from Seidio for what, 60 bucks?

I didn't care for the see thru neither, but it grew on me. I kinda like the way the red comes through.

Unbelievable, we are still dealing with battery life issues. I get 16 hours of HEAVY use on my stock battery. See my sig to fix your network issue OP. You'll get 3 days of heavy use once you fix your phone.

Talk about peeing on my parade. Dude, take it easy. It was only a mention about a case, NOT the battery.
 
I guess some of the people here are missing the point. It's not about esthetics, it's all about longivity. I can't wait for Seidio to come out with the Evo version. :)

Wow, and this is coming from someone that has only 54 posts ... why don't you get a 3500 mah battery and try it yourself?

BTW, it is spelled L-I-A-R. If you are going to insult, or at the very least, TRY to insult someone, make sure you use correct spelling and grammar.
