As the title says im trying to move to dalvik cahce to sd, im using the command
su
a2sd cachesd and its gives the message a2sd not found.

i've checked in quicki system info and its states a2sd with space being used up so its installed properly i think. Any ideas on how to make a2sd found?

Cheers

I've the exact same problem and have spent the last few days looking to see a fix but no luck! Any help would be great!

It is case sensitive, and should be lower case.

Most likely explanation is that you aren't using DarkTremor a2sd. There are many a2sd implementions, but that's the only one with the "a2sd" command.

What ROM are you using? DT is included in Gingervillain and Miui, but most other a2sd roms use other scripts.

The ROM is a stock GB (teppic74) one with support for a2sd and im not using darktremors a2sd but im using another one, can i just flash darktremors a2sd or do i have delete the old a2sd?

I'm using Runnymede AIO 2.2 stock.... I flashed the rom followed by a2sd script, this one, Darktremor Apps2SD 2.7.5.3 Beta 04. Is this right??
Thanks!

There will be other ways to get dalvik to sd on your a2sd scripts. Or check the Rom thread. Usually a2sd scripts already move dalvik. People often think dark tremor is the answer not knowing this.

Some a2sd scripts don't move dalvik, like redux 1.2. There there is an alternative script to flash on the redux page. This is the script I prefer to use if using a2sd. Before you flash it though, if your a2sd script goes by a different name, it won't be moved so you risk having 2 scripts so always best to manually remove the existing one first

Ok, i had a look in SD-EXT and there is dalvik-cache in there, so should I just leave my a2sd as it is? Or delete and flash another? Are there better ones that will move more data? And how would i delete the old a2sd? I'm using teppics GB Rom. And one more thing if I can move apps to sd normally should i?
Thanks

I'd leave it alone. It's moved the dalvik cache, and all of them move the apks, so you won't move more without going to something like data2sd (which is more complicated and not without downsides, e.g. requires a very fast card). Teppic's work is solid, so you'll be fine with that.

Ok cheers for the advice guys, hopefully i can use my desire now without having to continually delete things i wanted to keep! :)
