A500 and Be Internet?

I've bought an A500 this morning and it looks lovely, but unfortunately I can't get an internet connection on it.

I can successfully connect to my Be Internet bebox router, and I can then ping the tablet from other computers on my network, however I can't connect to any websites. In the browser I get the webpage not available message. Similarly, when I try to add my Google account, the progress screen displays "Signing in" for a while, and then times out.

When I scan for networks, there are also a couple of BT Openzones in range - when I connect to one of those and try to load a webpage it displays the BT Openzone signin screen, as I'd expect, so the device seems to be working correctly. Could it be somehow incompatible with my ISP?
 
I'm having the exact same problems! I also have a 3 mobile wireless dongle and it connects to that no problem but not my bebox. I have tried changing the bebox to no security, WPA2 and changed all the channels but still no joy. Every other device I have connects to the bebox no probs.
 
Ok It's finally working....

It seems the SpeedTouch routers are the only ones that the new Honeycomb tablets have trouble communicating with over DHCP. I've successfully logged on to other manufacturers routers via DHCP without issue...

So for the SpeedTouch routers let's set up a Static connection:

1. Let your tablet find the router by turning on your WiFi (Mine's called BeBox...).

2. Long press on your router name and select Modify Network

3. Change IP Settings from DHCP to Static.

4. Enter a relevant IP Adrress (Mine was 192.168.1.50)

5. Enter a relevant Gateway Adrress (Mine was 192.168.1.254)

6. Enter Network Prefix Length (Mine was 24)(Checkout Subnet Mask for info on this option).

7. Enter a relevant DNS Adrress (Mine was 192.168.1.254)

8. Save the configuration.

9. Flip WiFi Off, then On again and you should be connected.
