Root a8183 how to root

could anyone guide me on how to root my A8183 htc desire? i followed the guide & didnt get very far the guides show how to do with a bootloader of below 0.83 my bootloader is 0.93.001 any assistance is appreciated

Guides for below .83 are really old. Try the guide linked in my signature. Its up to date and covers things other guides do not - but should.

My knowledge on phones etc is limited, i have decided to get my htc desire rooted by a tech; that knows what he is doing.I live in Perth Western Australia, does anybody know a tech in Perth that can do as i dont have the confidence to try for fear of bricking thanks
