Able to watch world cup?

Yeah... hate the way it tempts you with that split second of full-screen goodness just to return back to a less-impressive bordered display. Still not sure if the service really uses your 4G connection... I'm assuming it does.

At least phone calls will interrupt your viewing. I was worried about that for a moment because of the non-sharing data/phone element of 3G!

yep, I've noticed no voice+Sprint TV even on 4G, but it does use the 4G connection since I see a noticeable quality difference between watching over 3G and opposed to watching with 4G turned on.

I get the split second full screen before switching to bars all around. I really wish the sprint player would have a zoom in button like the stock media player has. I dont have 4g here only 3g, and i could care less if it makes the quality worse. I just want it to fill the screen so i can use all the 4.3 inch goodness.

That "buzz" is the background noises of the game, not Sprint. It looks fine on the 4G here. No issues with audio. I tried plugging it into an HDMI port over the weekend. Unfortunately the HDMI functionality is limited to the video player. I thought it would be nice to put it on a nice 22" lcd monitor but no dice.

OK, the out-of-sync thing is bugging the heck out of me though. I heard Italy's equalizer about three or four seconds before I saw it. Sure, it made me look down from my monitor where I'm working in plenty of time so as not to miss it, but still...

I just noticed (about an hour ago) that I'm getting 4G in my office in Nashville all of the sudden, even though it's not officially rolled out here yet.

I just tested Sprint TV over 4G, and it looks/sounds great; a huge improvement over the lagging and pixelating that I'm used to. The sound is off a little bit from the image, but it's very minor. Hopefully Sprint will keep improving it.

I watched two full games today on ESPN via Sprint TV and I was very pleased with the picture quality. The audio was about 3-4 seconds ahead of the video though. Did anyone else have this problem? I tried closing the program and reopening it but had the same problem.

Like I said, my audio/video was off a bit, but I'd call it a lip synch issue rather than 2 or 3 seconds like you mentioned. For me it was off a fraction of a second, but still, it's enough to be annoying.

I'm having the same problem with the audio right now. But I exageratted yesterday. The delay is only about a second but it's annoying. Oh well, it's better than nothing. I can always just turn off the audio if it really gets to me.

Can't believe New Zealand scored that goal in the last 2 mins of the game!

I've been watching all the games yesterday and so far today, watching CIV vs. POR right now, with no problems and connected on the first attempt. The only time I wasn't able to connect was on Sunday while I was driving. Also, for the person who mentioned having to pay for the subscription channels, you don't. It is included as part of the $10 PREMIUM DATA charge. You still have to subscribe on your phone the first time, but you shouldn't get charged for it and you should then have access to all the premier channels.

6/17 Edit: I was given bad information by both Sprint reps I spoke to about this. It turns out that NO, SPRINT TV PREMIUM CHANNELS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE $10 PREMIUM DATA CHARGE FOR THE EVO. They will still cost $9.99/month.

I watched Italy vs Paraguay yesterday on Sprint TV while at work. Though there's a lot to be desired on transmission quality, it beats listening to the radio. :)

Are you sure about this? I would hate to subscribe and then get a surprise on my monthly bill.

I think the $10 is simply an extra fee for having the EVO, and I don't think it entitles us to anything. I could be wrong though.

Well, I called to reconfirm twice and both times I was told that the $10 Premium Data charge required for the EVO also included the premier channels on Sprint TV. Both times I asked to talk to a manager and the person that came to the line, supposedly the manager, said that the info was correct. No additional charges for Sprint TV if you have the EVO. They told me that if it showed up on my bill to give them a call and they would promptly remove the charge, but they weren't expecting that to happen since they were told that was included with the EVO and have been telling everyone. I will post back when I get my first bill to let everyone know.:o

Click on Sprint Tv App>Featured>ESPN Mobile TV
If the game is already started, it comes right on, nice size screen on the evo too

I got a different answer. I didn't question her further since I'm busy this afternoon.

World Cup is working extremely well on my evo in New York City, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

I'm in NYC too and watching all the games on my Evo. The sound is still a fraction of a second ahead of the video though.

I can't wait until we get 4G here in NY. I can't believe NY wasn't one of the first cities to have it!
