? about running programs

When I click on "all running programs" it says that I have 51m available out of 477. My question for y'all is this. Is this bad? I'm not really sure as from what I have read and I think I'm right on this is that the "X" will shut down one or more of these programs if it needs more memory.

I might be worrying for nothing but thought I would ask anyways.

The system will start freeing up memory when it is needed but if your phone starts to get sluggish, when the memory is low, just close a few apps and you should be fine afterward.
