Root About to Root!

Hello friends,

I'm about to root and I noticed that the sticky at the top of this forum has a link that was from late 2010 ( http://forum.androidcentral.com/verizon-fascinate-rooting-roms-hacks/33899-how-root.html ), should I still just follow all of these instructions to root or is there a more updated version?

Also, is there a thread that discusses the steps of putting on Froyo after the root?
