I have a new Epic 4G. Rooted, but stock EC05 firmware.
It keeps losing its accelerometer calibration. I calibrate via Horizontal calibration in the settings, with the phone flipped upside down like you have to with this firmware. Then everything's fine for a little while. I can run AcMeter, and I get reasonable readings from the x, y, and z sensors (all pretty close to the -1 to 1 range like they should be). After a bit, though (seems to happen more often when the screen turns off and I turn it back on), the x and z sensors are still fine, but the y is completely borked (e.g., it might range from -1.8 to -0.8). I run the Horizontal calibration again, and it's fine (for a while).
I'm getting pretty tired of running calibration a couple times a day (especially with having to turn the phone upside down).
Is this most likely bad hardware?
