Help accelerometer not well calibrated

Hi,
I just got my nexus s one week ago and noticed that the accelerometer/gyroscope isn't well calibrated. I first noticed this while playing games, and the bad news was corroborated when I downloaded a bubble app, lay the phone flat on my desk, and watched as the x and y parameters stabilized around 3

Well ,you could try a factory reset ! [but with a custom recovery image] and reset everything !
You could install a custom ROM and see if it's still off ,and if it is you should have it repaired !
All the above should take you about 15 mins to do
And YES ,you can root/unroot and still be under warranty so no worries !
