Help Access phone without a screen

I was wondering if there was a way to get into my phone (contacts/texts mostly) since my screen failed. The phone is still functional (it can take calls, etc), it just doesn't have a working screen. So is there a way to plug it in and copy over data? Can I put an SD card in there? Can I run some program on my computer that lets me put the screen there?
 
You would need an Mhl-Hdmi adaptor to plug it into a tv. It has to be one specificly for the s3. Amazon has them.
Arent your contacts syncd with google though?

Or download Samsung Kies for your pc and backup txts and contacts to that if youre gona get another samsung or get that one fixed
 
Thanks for the quick response, I think I'll be able to figure something out. Completely forgot about the syncing of contacts though.
 
I think theres a way to see your google contacts on the pc but i dont have a link so try searching for it :)
