Is it possible to make the eris phone an access point to the internet? I have the Verizon aircard now. I would like to use the Eris to connect my computer and Wii to the internet.
That would certainly do it if it worked, but I doubt that it will.
That router dates from 2008. Cellular routers need to have the driver for each cellular device in their firmware. Since that router (and it's most recent firmware updates) predate the Eris by a lon-n-n-n-g time, how could it include the necessary driver(s)? The Eris is not listed in it's compatibility matrix.
I have a similar, but more recent, router--a Cradlepoint CTR350. I can plug my old LG VX8350 phones into it and share out their Internet access through that router, but it doesn't recognize my Eris.
